About Ann Huycke, MD, NMD
Ann Huycke, MD, NMD is a Medical Doctor interested in natural and holistic health care. She was trained at the University of Kansas Medical School. Her interest in natural health began in Japan while working three years as a civilian providing care for US Army personnel and their families. During this time she studied acupuncture with Zeizui Yokoyama, an internationally recognized acupuncturist and author. She then moved to Springfield, Missouri where she was a staff physician at the Shealy Institute. At the institute, she worked along side other physicians, psychologists, physical therapists and massage therapists to create an integrated approach to health care.
Ann Huycke, MD, NMD moved to Boise in 1995. She worked in Idaho Emergency Rooms until she opened her practice in September 1999. Her practice uses natural substances (vitamins, herbs, and homeopathics) to help a person optimize their health with the least side effects. However, with serious or unclear cases, she has access and uses x-rays and labs and referrals to specialists when appropriate.
Ann Huycke, MD, NMD hopes to develop a true personal and professional partnership with each patient in pursuit of an optimum level of health and the highest quality of life possible.
